The fishing season runs from September 15th through
May 30th. Meals
are prepared at both locations in our kitchens or on the outside
grill. Steak, shrimp, fish, chicken and traditional authentic Mexican
dishes are served for lunch and dinner. Breakfast consists of juice
, coffee, eggs, bacon or hot cakes and fresh fruit. All beverages
and domestic alcohol drinks are included in our package pricing.

Lake Huites
The rising star of Mexico's bass producing lakes
is Lake Huites (pronounced wheat-us) which opened to the public
for the first time in 1997. Huites is located east of El Fuerte
in the foothills of the Sierra Madres a 1½ hour drive from
EL Fuerte.
Huites is a relatively young lake with a reputation
for producing large numbers of aggressive large mouth bass in the
3 to 7 pound range. As the lake has matured fish in excess of ten
pounds are being caught more regularly.
Villa Del Pescador operates a satellite Lodge
(El Pescador) on the Shores of Lake Huites with a maximum capacity
of twelve fishing guests. The Lodge was built in the fall of 1997
and has a dining room with a bar, bedrooms with a bath and shower
and a large outdoor portal. The lodge is comfortable and is ideally
located for easy access to the boats and the lake. The view of the
lake and surrounding mountains is magnificent.
Lake Dominguez & Lake Hidalgo
Two of Mexico's older but stable and productive
bass lakes are a short 15 minute drive on paved roads from the "Villa."
Lake Dominquez and Lake Hidalgo have been fished by guests of Villa
Del Pescador for over 20 years, and continue to schedule trips to
these two lakes for an opportunity to catch bass in excess of 10
pounds.
Although daily catches are often in the 12 to 15 fish range, these
lakes afford a real chance to catch a trophy bass. Recently a 12
pound 9 ounce largemouth was caught and released by one of our guests
and a local resident caught a largemouth weighing just over 16 pounds.
These lakes continue to be great bass fishing lakes and should be
considered as an option when fishing bass in Mexico.
