This lake is named for Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez.
She was a revolutionary activist who was arrested on the eve of
the revolution in 1910 and was confined in convents until her release
in 1921.
Located near the end of the Dominguez Dam is a past governor's
weekend house that has been turned into a teacher's college. This
lake has been created off of the Rio El Cuchujaqui and is well stocked
with largemouth bass and catfish. The Presa (Lake) is just a short
drive from El Fuerte and is well worth your time.
Tour Cost: $15 US/ person (minimum 2 people)
